Dedicated to . . . .

This photograph is dedicated to my friend who made this beautiful mini-cupcake (along with 69 others). She volunteered to make these for my husbands 30th birthday party. I made the toppers, obviously my skills are more 2 dimensional than hers :) It's my husband's baby pictures and the cupcakes are a "black and white, dark chocolate, vanilla icing combo" they are downright addicting.

Dedicated to. . .

This photo is dedicated to a special family that has lived in, and served, our community for the past several years. They are moving on and we will feel the loss deeply. We know that wherever they go they will lift those around them to a higher level.

New Favorite Color Scheme: Utah Family Photography

This was a fun session several weeks ago (remember my hubs and I share a computer. . . and he has every stinking minute right now for his studies. . .alas). The problem with this shoot was that there were lots of great photographs, too many :)

I really like the styling, I love the coral and navy clothes with the cream and gray backdrops.

This family is adorable, Little A is a super model in the making and was so good for photos and Tiny T is precious. I think Mom is simply an amazingly positive, kind, stylish person. . . a good example to me. They were all really easy going, and relaxed :)

New To This World Take II: Utah Newborn Photography

Did you like the last newborn session that I posted? I did, and I got to do another newborn session last Saturday. And guess what? He was also BE-A-Utiful. Here's a secret. . . these two little guys are cousins, born only weeks apart (apparently beauty runs in the genetic code of this family). This little one was very easy going and sweet I really enjoyed getting to Know T & T & R better that morning. Anyways, here's to the miracle of new life. Enjoy these lovely photographs.

Session favorite below: LOVE it :)

ahh, what a sweet profile, I love his baby-nose.

It's hard to tell, but notice how long this little guy is. . . future in the NBA perhaps?

Let it be know that beautiful people (on the inside and out) make beautiful babies.

New to This World: Utah Newborn Photography

This is one of the prettiest newborns that I have ever met (you can say 'pretty' for boys under 3 = my blog, my rules). He really is quite stunning. He was very polite and we made some very sweet photographs of him using natural window light and patience. Thanks M and C & T for making me totally baby hungry again. If I have a 3rd child anytime sooner than later. . . I blame all 3 of you.

This next photo is so sweet. I LOVE his tiny-ness.

This boy loves his hands. . . yum.

a yawn. . . how cute is that?

ahh . . .

A Blustery Farewell: Utah Family Photography

I took a group family picture a few weeks ago in honor of the fellow pictured above. He left on his LDS mission this week and his family wanted one last group photograph before his impending 2 year absence.
The weather was terribly uncooperative. . . the wind was fierce and frigid. The picture below is a good illustration.
But look how hard the grand kids are trying to smile in the next photograph.

Here's our best. . . yes the hair is wild and wind blown. . .well, that's the truth of the blustery day. But they all look great considering how cold they are, not to mention the dust blowing into their eyes :)

And these last 2 photographs are fun.

all in all not bad, it was crazy cold. good thing the people were awesome!

A 'Mustache' Valentine

We made these for Valentine's this year:

I got the idea here.
We cut  mini-mustaches out of stickyback felt and gave each of my son's friends their own mustache to enjoy.

We love a good photo-valentine around here!

December Sealing at Salt Lake City Temple: Utah Family Photography

Finally I can post these pictures! It's taken me a while to get caught up after the holidays.

This adorable family was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple in December. I loved having the opportunity to photograph such a special occasion. This family is so fun and so easy going. It's easy to make photographs with them :)

Thanks for having me there!

AND we close with this. . . session favorite!
