My Last Shoot of the Year: Utah Family Photography

Look carefully behind mom's head in the picture below. . . and in the next one he was caught!

So for the next few months I'll be taking a little break from photography, to regroup, and get things in order in my house, and enjoy the holidays with a little less 'to-do's' This was an awesome session to end the year with. This family was a joy to be around and had a great sense of humour. Their shots turned out so pretty with all the fall leaves on the ground.

Smiles, Giggles, and Lovely Yellow: Utah Family Photography

This session was up American Fork Canyon. I am pretty sure this area (all of upper AF Canyon) is my new favorite location for fall pictures. The yellow leaves are so bright and vibrant and make for such a pretty backdrop. I was a little liberal with allowing sun flare, backlight and warm rays to wash over the lens for these photographs. I wanted to capitalize on the yellow hues and create some sunny pictures. The kids were so fun, they were so good and smiled plenty. Some of their sibling shots are my favorite sibling shots I have ever taken.

I think the mountain makes for a cool backdrop below.

I think this next couple picture is so cute. I love how natural it is.

Cute Little Family: Utah Family Photography

LOVE, the next one. He was dancing :)

So this was a really fun shoot, partly because dad was the opposite of inhibited (you should see the out-takes), but also because of Mom's beautiful eyes, and the little guys charming personality. This little boy is so bright and in so many ways is a little miniature man. His parents adore him (as they should). It was fun to try and capture the keen sense of humour, wit, and charm of this cute little family.

Today when I was editing these family photos It occurred to me that I have some really pretty friends. This family is proof. Also, I know people with good taste. This family is proof of that too. They picked the spot for their pictures and I think that they turned out beautifully, they could not have picked a better location. It's so tricky to time the 'fall leaves' but I think these are gorgeous and I am betting that we took them on the last possible 'fall colors' day in that location, so we lucked out big time. Anyways, I hope you enjoy these as much as I do, they make me feel so fall-ish and festive when I look at them.

Look at baby's face below. . . so funny :)She was grabbing her sister's hair and thought she was pretty clever.

um. . . these two just don't look like 'parents' below.

This is my favorite from the day.
