Just one day old: Utah Newborn Photography
I love a good newborn session. This little guy was so sweet and easy to work with. He was less than 24 hrs old in these photos. It's amazing how small newborns are. I love the wrinkly feet they have. I really liked the personal items that his parents thought to included in the hospital session. Look how tiny he is next to that football! It's always a special experience to see a new family grow with the birth of a little one. This mom and dad were so sweet and fun, I think they will be fabulous parents. You could tell that they both had big hearts full of adoration for their little boy.

Finally breaking into the editing from September's shoots. This was a beautiful family (inside and out) that I also took pictures of 2 years ago. It was fun to see how they much the kids have grown since last time. It amazes me how fast things change and how quickly time goes by. It was also interesting to see how much I've grown as a photographer in that amount of time. I loved the 'styling' in these shots. Mom has an eye for creative style, I told her I would like to hire her to style all of my shoots :)

A Mom Out-numbered: Utah Family Photography
So I'm getting caught up on sessions from the end of August, still. . . Like I said in the last post, it has been one thing after another. So I hope all my cute friends who are waiting for their pictures will be able to forgive me for my slow-ness. Alas, here is a darling group of 4 men and a one cute momma.

It's Time to get Personal. . .
It's that time of year:
The Husband is gone A LOT. He is in school and working full-time. Our time is in short supply and seems to decrease by the minute (how's that for a statement to ponder?).
In this house we are all unwell, ear infections, fevers, flus, strange rashes, herniated vertabrae, nerve compression . . . one thing after another.
One of us will most likely be getting neck surgery soon. blah. . .
The holidays are fast approaching and I am starting to format my "family Photo-books" to get them done in time for Christmas (Yearly I put a digital photo-book together that chronicles our happenings, I write in it a lot. . .do one for each kid. . . it's the family blog that I don't have).
The leaves are starting to change colors, just a little bit. Fall is my favorite season, by far.
Our family is due for a change too. SO. . .
Due to the craziness that is called 'life' I won't be taking any more photography session this year (2011). STOP, don't freak out, if we've already set something up, tentatively set something up, or you've emailed me requesting information (even today). . . you're safe. I'll still do your session. I'm just planning to ease out of photography by the end of October (see you still have time).
I want November and December to be months that I focus on photographing my own family, working on family projects and just doing 'family stuff.'
That being said: there are exceptions to every rule, like births, weddings, etc. . . life events that cannot be postponed. . . email me for availbility for those types of things, I might fit you in, or I'll give you a dang good referall.
Here's a few photos from the last few weeks.
See, now you understand why I want to spend more time devoted to these amazing people.

More Baby Love: Utah baby photography
This session was done in honor of this little one's blessing day (LDS Religious Practice). She wore a beautiful heirloom dress with matching shoes. I love the idea of passing a blessing dress down through generations for all the baby girls to wear on their special day. This was a fun session. We worked in all natural light, using a my north facing windows and porch area. I really like the soft girly look that was achieved.

Fresh: Utah Wedding Photography
I loved the fresh style and feel of this wedding. The shooting was more free-flowing than usual, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere at the reception that evening. The colors that were used throughout the event were lovely. I especially liked the gray suits. In looking at these pictures I thought to myself, "This is a power couple". They make a great team and are definitely going great places. I've know Her for a long time and she is as strong, loyal, and kind as they come. She is a fabulous friend, and he is lucky to have snatched her up :) OH. . . and those kids, yes, they are adorable, so stinkin' adorable.
